Ortiz-Millan y los deberes hacia uno mismo.
Resumen: En esta nota argumento en contra de la idea, defendida por Ortiz-Millán, de que podemos hablar de moralidad en relación con uno mismo. Sostengo que todo lo que uno haga en favor de uno mismo tiene una motivación prudencial o de autointerés y que la dimensión moral de la vida humana tiene necesariamente que ver con "el otro" y no con uno mismo.
Palabras clave: obligación, castigo, moralidad, yo Abstract: In this note I argue against the very idea that it makes sense to talk about morality with respect to oneself, a view that Ortiz-Millán advocates. I hold that the motivation of anything one does for oneself is always prudential in character or based on self-interest considerations and that the moral dimension of human life always concerns "the other" and not oneself.
