Book shows the diversity of women in Latin America.

Mexico, Dec. 6 (Notimex).- A sample of the diversity of women in Latin America and their struggle for equality, is what is presented in the book "Being a Woman in Latin America", published by the Autonomous Metropolitan University (UAM, for its acronym in Spanish).

When presenting the book, Alejandra Osorio, director of the Academic and Cultural Department of that house of studies, affirmed that being a woman in this region of the American continent has its characteristics.

The above because maternity is imposed without asking many times, a state is imposed that determines that females can not decide on their bodies, while work triples and is paid less than men.

However, the book also shows that "being a woman since the imposition" is in crisis, because today the females are more diverse and are willing to go beyond that imposition that is constructed from the gender itself.

This without renouncing motherhood if they wish, "but in a free and without impositions, without leaving skirts and perfumes, plucked or not, working at...
