* Germany will bring first carpet fair to Mexico

Mexico, Dec. 19 (Notimex).- The carpet industry in Mexico will grow this year around 3.4 percent, which is expected to exceed a production of 385 million square meters, with which the country is among the largest production in Latin America, revealed Hannover Fairs Mexico.

This company, which is a subsidiary of the German firm Deutsche Messe - organizer of the largest industrial fair in the world, Hannover Messe - and CIHAC Expo, will bring to Mexico the first international carpet fair.

This is Domotex, the largest global exhibition specializing in the segments of carpets, soft and hard surfaces such as LVT and wood floors, as well as floor technology.

Until 2020, it is projected that the demand for floors and carpets in Mexico will increase 3.4 percent per year, reaching 385 million square meters.

Domestic producers will also benefit from increased domestic demand during this period, said Sarah Moller, spokesperson for the event.

He noted that as a result of an agreement between the international exhibition organizers Deutsche Messe and UBM, the event will be launched at CIHAC Expo, the leading event for the construction industry in Latin America.
