Improved London-Mexico Connectivity to Increase British Tourism

London, Dic. 8 (Notimex).- The Aeromexico Airlines and British Airways will increase frequencies of travel London- Mexico City from 2015, which will advance the goal of the Mexican government of receiving 500 thousand British tourists in 2015.

"The increasing weekly frequencies of these airlines that will be carrying more than half a million Britons to Mexico 2015, is linked to the mega project new airport in the capital of our country," said Ambassador of Mexico in the UK, Diego Gomez Pickering.

The new International Airport of Mexico City is a transexenal project in its initial stage that will feature three tracks of simultaneous use to transport 50 million people.

The diplomat told Notimex that improving air connectivity in both airlines will help promote tourism and the possibility of doing business between Mexico and the United Kingdom.

Aeromexico announced that as of March 29 quarter it will add the service to Mexico City from London Heathrow and from June 15th will travel five times a week.

The airline offers night flights from London to optimize the timing of shipments of leisure travelers and business.

In addition, the Mexican airline introduced in June the Boeing 787 Dreamliner which will improve departure times on Saturdays to facilitate connections within Mexico and other Latin American countries and the United States.
